Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, and Mr.Prutirat Ratanakul Serireongrith, President of The Royal Automobile Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, alongside Mr. Suphakorn Rattanawaraha, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, jointly presided over the “Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand 2025” Press Conference on 29 April 2025, at TOYOTA ALIVE, Bangna-Trad KM 3.

Since 1986, Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited has played a pivotal role in spearheading motorsports in Thailand. Throughout the years, Toyota has been a trailblazer in developing and popularizing the sport. This includes organizing racing competitions, establishing Toyota’s own racing teams to challenge in various racing series, fostering talents across all levels from aspiring youths to experienced professionals, and offering opportunities for Thai racers to showcase their skills on a global stage. Thanks to the unwavering dedication to the continuous advancement of Thai motorsports, Toyota has genuinely secured the position as a dominant player in the industry.

Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, said in the press conference, “Welcome to “the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand Press Conference” today. And thank you for your continuous supports on our motorsport activity as well as on your support on the Bangkok International Motor Show. Thanks to your support, we got 9600 booking at the Bangkok International Motor Show, and including those more than 21000 booking nationwide. And we will be able to deliver 7600 to the customers in the metro area during April, mainly to customers who made booking at the Motor Show.

For Toyota, motorsports activity is the foundation of “making ever-better cars”.  We also have expanding partnerships with many race programs around the world. We believe that “Roads build people, and people build cars” and through our participation in the races, we will continually improve our technology, which will be reflected in our models. It also reflects our technology developments towards carbon neutrality based on our multiple pathway strategy.

Last year, Toyota won the Asia Cross Country Rally Championship with the Hilux Revo GR Sport 4X4 equipped with an improved suspension developed in part with Thai engineers. So, this year, we will also participate in the RAAT rally with Yaris Cross HEV, which will have improved suspension and HEV powertrain.

They will not only contribute to the development of “Ever-Better car and Parts”, but also to the development of technology towards carbon neutrality. Furthermore, you will see the development of 2 carbon-neutral models, Yaris and Ativ Carbon Neutral Fuel, on the track. We also continue support Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand to participate in many race programs of both rally and circuit for research and development of Toyota future models.

• Starting with the kids age between 8 and 11 years old, we have sponsored TRUE Vision-Toyota Junior Go Kart Training Project under the long collaborations with TRUE Vision since 2002.

In 2024, the Hilux Revo GR Sport 4X4 — enhanced with an improved suspension system developed by Thai engineers — won the first place in the Asia Cross Country Rally 2024.
