ชุดแต่งเพิ่มสมรรถนะ Manthey Performance Kit (มานทาย เพอร์ฟอร์มมานซ์ คิท) ประกอบด้วยอุปกรณ์หลักที่มีส่วนช่วยในเรื่องยกระดับประสิทธิภาพให้ระบบอากาศพลศาสตร์ และระบบช่วงล่าง โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการเสริมความแม่นยำและเฉียบคม เพื่อให้รถสามารถขับขี่บนสนามแข่งได้อย่างมีเสถียรภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น การเสริมชุดแต่งในส่วนของ aero package ทำให้เห็นความแตกต่างได้ชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้น ลิ้นสปอยเลอร์ (spoiler lip) และ ครีบอากาศด้านข้าง (side flaps) ที่มีขนาดใหญ่ขึ้น ได้รับการติดตั้งในส่วนหน้าของรถ เมื่อผสานการทำงานกับอุปกรณ์จัดระเบียบการไหลเวียนอากาศใต้ท้องรถ ผลลัพธ์คือการเพิ่มแรงกดที่เพลาหน้า
สำหรับด้านท้ายรถ เป็นอีกจุดที่มีการปรับแต่งไม่น้อย ปีกหลังทรง swan-neck มีขนาดใหญ่กว่าปอร์เช่ 911 GT3 รุ่นทั่วไป พร้อมติดตั้ง tear-off edge (Gurney flap) โดดเด่นด้วยแผ่นปิดข้างสปอยเลอร์ตราสัญลักษณ์ Manthey (มานทาย) ซึ่งมีขนาดใหญ่ขึ้น พร้อมมุมรับอากาศของปีกหลังที่ถูกปรับให้มีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด ดิฟฟิวเซอร์หลังท้ายรถผลิตจากวัสดุ CFRP และได้รับการขยายให้มีขนาดกว้างขึ้น รวมถึงการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพทางอากาศพลศาสตร์ด้วยการติดตั้งอุปกรณ์ aerodiscs ซึ่งเป็นวัสดุ CFRP ลงบนล้อคู่หลัง
จากความร่วมมือกับ Manthey (มานทาย) ในครั้งนี้ ปอร์เช่ได้พัฒนาระบบช่วงล่างแบบพิเศษ four-way coilover สำหรับปอร์เช่ 911 GT3 ซึ่งมักจะถูกนำมาใช้ในการแข่งขัน โดยช่วงล่างแบบสตรัทนี้ (suspension struts) สามารถปรับได้ถึง 4 ระดับ รวมทั้งระยะยืด- หดโดยไม่ต้องใช้เครื่องมือพิเศษแต่อย่างใด
การเปลี่ยนแปลงยังครอบคลุมถึงค่าความแข็งของชุดสปริง (ด้านหน้าเพิ่มขึ้น 10 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ด้านหลังลดลง 7 เปอร์เซ็นต์) ช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการบังคับควบคุม โดยไม่ส่งผลกระทบกับการใช้งานในชีวิตประจำวันแม้แต่น้อย

Bangkok. Porsche Thailand launches the Manthey Performance Kit for the current 911 GT3 for the first time in Thailand today, unlocking even more potential for unmatched performance on the circuit. The new Manthey Performance Kit was developed in close collaboration between the Porsche engineers in Weissach and the Nordschleife specialists from Manthey in Meuspath, and the stunning result of this comprehensive upgrade package is a Nürburgring Nordschleife laptime of just 6:55.737 minutes – exactly 4.19 seconds faster than the 911 GT3 without the kit.
The Manthey Performance Kit: Sharper, Tighter and Faster
The Manthey Performance Kit consists mainly of aerodynamic and chassis modifications – all with the clear focus of sharpening the car’s on-track performance. Extensive changes to the aero package make the kit instantly recognisable: A larger spoiler lip and side flaps are fitted at the front of the car. In conjunction with the modified air guide elements on the underbody, they increase the downforce on the front axle.
The modifications at the rear are even more pronounced: the swan-neck-supported wing of the 911 GT3 is wider, and now features a tear-off edge (Gurney flap). The end plates with their distinctive Manthey logos have also been enlarged, as has the wing’s angle of attack. The fins of the rear diffuser have been extended and are now made of CFRP. The aerodiscs on the rear wheels, which are also made of CFRP, further enhance the car’s aerodynamic efficiency.
In collaboration with Manthey, Porsche has developed a special four-way coilover suspension for the 911 GT3 that is highly adapted for use on the circuit. The suspension struts can be adjusted to four positions, and rebound and compression can be tweaked without tools.
Moderate changes are made to the spring rates (10 percent higher on the front axle, seven percent lower on the rear), contributing to improved on-the-limit handling, without making any compromises when it comes to day-to-day usability.
To round off the package, a lightweight forged wheel set with 20- and 21-inch rims is available as an option for the Manthey Performance Kit. They reduce unsprung mass by a total of 7.3 kilograms, and are available in Brilliant Silver, Dark Silver, Neodyme and (satin-gloss) Black.
A set of steel-braided brake lines that come as standard with the kit, guaranteeing a more precise pressure point to enable optimal operation of the brakes. Special racing brake pads are also available as an option, and other accessories include door projectors and illuminated door sill guards with the Manthey logo, as well as a racing towing loop.
Manthey Performance in Thailand: Insights from Development Driver Lars Kern
The new Manthey Performance Kit was launched at Porsche Centre Bangkok on 17 June 2023, and forms yet another highlight for Porsche Thailand in 2023, as the company celebrates three decades of enduring Porsche passion. The first 911 GT3 in Thailand fitted with the Manthey Performance Kit was unveiled, and guests as well as members of the media were treated to a special dialogue session with Porsche Development Driver Lars Kern via livestream.
“We are proud to be the first in Southeast Asia to launch the Manthey Performance Kit and official distributer of Manthey Racing certified. Our expert technicians have received exclusive training from the Manthey Racing, and are now fully-equipped to install MR kits, extracting even more performance from the already-impressive 911 GT3,” said Peter Rohwer, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand at the launch event. “For our customers, this means a new and exclusive level of performance unlocked, for maximum driving pleasure on the racetrack,” Mr. Rohwer continued.
The new Manthey Performance Kit is only available via Porsche Centres nationwide in Thailand with prices starting from 1.99MB. The manufacturer’s warranty on the 911 GT3 remains in full effect.
